As part of the application process, you will be required to complete a code challenge. This is so we know you have the basic technical foundation to thrive in the program.
We will assess all candidates through Git review, LinkedIn analysis, Code stack evaluation, and a review of their Proof of Work. This process will help us determine if you fit the candidate profile we seek.
Upon successfully passing the candidate review stage, you will be shortlisted for one-on-one interviews with the team to confirm your fit for the program.
Candidates who are accepted into the program will receive notification within two weeks of their application submission.

Btrust Builders is Btrust’s program designed exclusively for Africa. Nevertheless, given our focus at Btrust is on supporting developers from the Global South, we are happy to refer any applicants outside Africa but within the Global South to relevant programs.
Yes. Our primary goal is to locate the best African software developers, take them through an intense learning experience to build their skills and portfolio as Bitcoin developers and have them contribute to open-source Bitcoin & Lightning projects, including Bitcoin Core and other projects that support the broader Bitcoin development ecosystem.
Absolutely not. On the contrary, once selected into the program, you get paid a small remuneration during the training period. This ensures that you can give the program adequate focus as it is intense.
There is no deadline to apply to the program. Our applications are open all year round.
We make sure applicants know if they are successful within two weeks of applying for the program. While this is not always possible, we are constantly working to reduce the duration of the selection process.
