I have over five years of experience as a Java developer, with additional proficiency in Kotlin and Rust. My professional background includes developing and deploying large-scale Java enterprise applications. Over time, I've recognized the immense potential and opportunities that Bitcoin presents globally, especially within Africa. This realization has motivated me to leverage my skills and knowledge to contribute to Bitcoin open-source projects.
While at the Btrust Builders fellowship, I actively contributed to open-source projects such as bitcoinj and BDK, which deepened my understanding of Bitcoin development. I worked on several projects, including my project, Forwarding Wallet—a Bitcoin wallet that allows users to send, receive, and listen for events on the blockchain. I also collaborated on Bitcoin Bank, a group project designed to offer a secure platform for storing Bitcoin and performing transactions with guaranteed security. Beyond development, I shared my knowledge through writing, publishing four technical articles including, “I Know Bitcoin, but What the Thunder is Lightning?” and “Bitcoin Transactions vs. Bank Transactions,” aiming to educate others about Bitcoin and the Lightning Network.
