I’m a backend engineer with over two years of experience, and my focus has been primarily on Bitcoin development. I originally trained as a mechanical engineer and CAD designer before transitioning into software development, where I’ve built solid expertise in Python and Flask, while also gaining exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, Rust, and some Golang. My journey into Bitcoin has been fueled by my passion for open-source technology and the potential it holds for financial inclusion.
I’ve had the opportunity to work on significant Bitcoin projects, including Galoy's Stablesats, a tool that helps stabilize Bitcoin value, and Easepay's PSP, a payment service provider focused on enhancing Bitcoin payments. These experiences have allowed me to deepen my understanding of Bitcoin’s use cases in real-world applications. Thanks to the Btrust grant, I’m currently contributing to the development of the Lightning Development Kit (LDK), where my work focuses on improving the robustness of the Lightning Network to ensure seamless Bitcoin transactions. I’m also passionate about making it easier for new contributors to join the Bitcoin open-source ecosystem, streamlining the onboarding process, and creating a welcoming environment for developers who want to get involved. During my time in the Qala Fellowship, I benefited from a project-driven approach that helped me learn and build quickly. The support and guidance I received from a faculty of experienced Bitcoin and Lightning developers have been invaluable in shaping my journey. I’ve also had the pleasure of being a faculty member in the following fellowship cohorts, where I continue to learn and grow alongside a supportive community.
