I’m a seasoned software engineer with a strong technical background in computer science. As a full-stack developer, I have experience working with JavaScript, Rust, and Python. My passion for building on Bitcoin's technology drives my work, and I’m constantly seeking ways to contribute to its growth and development.
I was honored to be the first recipient of the Btrust grant, where I spent two years contributing to the development of BitcoinDevKit. My work focused on improving essential tools that help developers build more effective Bitcoin applications. I also participated in the Build for Africa Hackathon, where my team emerged as one of the winners. Following that, I co-founded Splice Africa, a company that tackles cross-border payment challenges in Africa using Bitcoin and the Lightning Network. Our goal at Splice Africa is to leverage this technology to create solutions that promote financial inclusion across the continent. In addition to my technical work, I co-founded BitDevs Nairobi, a developer community dedicated to fostering Bitcoin development and collaboration among local developers. I’ve also been a part of the Btrust Builders Fellowship (formerly Qala Fellowship), where I further developed my technical skills in a supportive, collaborative environment that encouraged both personal and professional growth. I also took on the role of faculty member, helping mentor the next generation of Bitcoin developers through subsequent cohorts.
